APPLE CAKE
Ingredients:
3 Cups Chopped Apple
1 ½ Cups Oil
1 Cup Granulated white sugar
½ Cup Brown Sugar (packed)
3 Eggs
3 Cups All-Purpose Flour
2 ½ Teaspoons Cinnamon
½ Teaspoon Nutmeg
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
½ teaspoon Salt
1 Cup Chopped Walnuts/Pecans (your choice)
2 Teaspoons Vanilla
Directions:
1. Chop apples and place in a bowl of lightly salted water.
2. Beat together oil and sugars, and then blend in 1 egg at a time
until blended.
3. Sift dry ingredients into sugar-egg mixture mixing well.
4. Stir in vanilla, well-drained apples and nuts.
5. Spread evenly in a lightly greased and floured bundt pan.
6. Bake at 325° for 1 ½ hours or until done.
7. Cool in pan 20 minutes, then turn out on to a wire rack to cool
completely.
8. Drizzle glaze before serving.
GLAZE
In a saucepan combine:
3 T. butter
3 T. White-granulated Sugar
3 T. Brown Sugar
3 T. Milk
½ t. Vanilla
1. Bring mixture
to a boil.
2. Boil for 1 minute
3. Cool slightly before spooning over cake
